Summer Party - Aspect Communications

The Context

One of our longest standing global corporate clients tasked us with something a bit different this summer – their own UK office summer party!

In the past our client had managed this annual event in-house, but on this occasion, they had invited some external guests to attend as well, including diplomats, academics, journalists and even a member of parliament. The party had to surpass all previous events in terms of creativity, production and delivery, so working with a trusted supplier was crucial for the planning team.

Our SOLUTION

Based on our existing relationship with the client and our knowledge of their business we were able to propose several suitable concepts in response to their brief, eventually landing on a fun and summery “Chelsea Flower Show meets Bridgerton” theme.

Working closely with the client team, our services on this project spanned all aspects of event management and delivery, from pre-production support and planning to sourcing the venue and suppliers (caterers, entertainment and furniture/props) as well as managing registration, attendance, and security on the day.

Our team hand-picked and organized all the decorations, working with suitable furniture suppliers and florists to create just the right atmosphere for the party. In honour of the chosen theme, an electric violinist provided live music entertainment throughout the evening, playing popular chart covers of Bridgerton tracks to the delight of the 240 partygoers. A delicious summer BBQ feast and a range of zingy cocktails kept energy levels up for the themed playlist between sets.

The Aspect team looked after every detail of the event to ensure the hosts could relax and enjoy their own party. A minute-by-minute onsite schedule for all the deliveries, set-up, and the running of the event left nothing to chance. Aspect also managed guest registration ahead of the event, and on the day itself worked with the venue’s management team on attendance and security. We even had a wet weather option up our sleeves, just in case!

The result

Thankfully the weather held out on the day and the client’s beautiful English garden party could go ahead as planned. Everyone particularly enjoyed the musical entertainment, adding to the overall atmosphere and making the event a roaring success!

This event achieved an overall score of 4.6 out of 5 on the client’s internal evaluation tool.
