The Context

When the global pandemic forced one of Britain’s best loved retailers to close its doors, M&S needed a new way to engage its loyal customers.



The Project

With its stores regularly being forced to close during 2020/21, M&S needed to continue to engage their community of Sparks loyalty cardholders and showcase its range of products ahead of key trading periods. Together we developed a new series of events called Sparks LIVE, a magazine style TV show with live Q&A and interactive chat functionality.

We built a studio in M&S’ offices and provided content development, storyboarding, film direction, studio floor management and vision mixing to produce a high-quality broadcast experience that was consumed through a branded microsite.

The successful pilot episode led to us delivering an ongoing series of events covering food, clothing and home, with the need to constantly innovate and keep the concept feeling fresh.

The Creative

We developed a broad range of content, incorporating a professional celebrity host, live cooking, fashion shows, beauty segments, guest interviews, viewer Q&A and expert panels.

More recently we’ve engaged deaf social media influencers to provide greater diversity and broader appeal, and established a partnership with MacMillan nurses.
