European Leadership and Sales Kick-Off

The Context

This sales kick-off for a large global technology solutions provider was the first and largest pan-European event of its kind for the organisation’s European division.

The three-day meeting saw 800 delegates from 16 different countries come together in Barcelona to share, learn and celebrate for the first time since the recent company restructure, during which multiple parts of the business were consolidated under a new single brand.

Our Work

After many months of generating ideas and planning the perfect event, day one started mid-afternoon with visionary presentations from both the regional and global CEO, culminating in a much-anticipated awards ceremony that evening. We held an open-air drinks reception followed by a gala welcome dinner with a seating plan designed to encourage people to make new connections and discover more about the organisation’s wider European community.

At the start of day two, the brief from our client was to create a magical moment that would fit with the theme of rhythm and appeal to all nationalities in attendance. Our ‘silent conductor’ was a huge success: without saying a word he got all 800 attendees working together to create music with humour and mime, lifting the audience’s spirits as they began a day packed full of content.

Aspect produced numerous sessions throughout the conference that shared both global vision and local implementation. Interactive presentations and engaging panel sessions ran to a packed schedule interspersed with regular networking breaks.

Under the event banner of ‘Bolder Better Together’ we were tasked with providing a speaker who would challenge, inspire, and empower the audience to achieve the goals they set themselves for the year ahead. Ellis Watson brought the house down with real world examples from his extraordinary life in business and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by our client’s organisation. He provided much food for thought and encouragement to succeed.

The event culminated in a spectacular party, set in the PortAventura theme park on a pirate galleon and the surrounding wharf. Delegates networked and partied the night away with a huge firework display and a client-branded water show acting as a cherry on the cake.

The outcome

The client was extremely pleased with the flawlessly executed event that kept their large, diverse audience engaged and energised from start to finish. Connections were cemented and new ones formed. Key plans for success in the next financial year were clearly defined and the sales teams left fired up to smash their targets for 2023/24.
