Virtual Presentation Training

The CHALLENGE

Our client, a major telecommunications company, aimed to prepare its emerging leaders to deliver compelling and technically precise presentations to high-level stakeholders.

With a cohort of 20 highly educated staff, many with PhDs in technical disciplines, the programme needed to strike a balance between technical depth and communication clarity.

The virtual format was designed as preparation for a live, in-person event to be held in Helsinki in May 2025, where participants would present to senior leaders.  The remote training needed to build their skills and confidence in both content delivery and audience engagement.

Our APPROACH

Under the guidance of communication expert Alastair Wallace, who brings over 25 years of experience in presentation coaching, Aspect took responsibility for end-to-end project execution.  The remote delivery model ensured flexibility while maintaining high levels of engagement and learning impact.

The programme format encouraged active participation, with regular feedback and opportunities to test out new skills in a safe, supportive environment.  Live Q&A sessions offered direct access to expert advice, while practice sessions allowed attendees to apply techniques in real time.

OUR SOLUTION

Aspect was engaged to design, manage, and deliver a fully remote training experience that met the needs of a technically advanced audience. The programme blended on-demand video lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and live presentation practice.

Key learning outcomes included:

  • audience analysis
  • presentation structuring techniques
  • slide design and visual communication
  • delivery techniques (voice, body language, interaction)
  • handling technical content with simplicity and clarity.

Collaboration and Partnership

Aspect worked in close partnership with the client’s leadership development team, providing guidance on content, structure, and delivery format.

The collaboration ensured that the course was aligned with strategic leadership goals and tailored to the participants’ unique technical context.

The Outcome

The training successfully met its objectives. Participants reported feeling significantly more confident in presenting to senior leaders. They left the course equipped with practical tools, insights, and frameworks to communicate technical information clearly and persuasively.

Attendees also felt more prepared and assured ahead of their scheduled in-person presentations in Helsinki.  The success of this virtual programme reinforces the value of targeted communication training for technical professionals in high-stakes settings.
