Challenge

As with many meetings, when the coronavirus pandemic took hold, our world-leading food and beverage client had to very quickly change their plans for a face-to-face event and transition to a virtual meeting.

We were challenged to design and deliver their inaugural virtual leadership meeting with the focus on education, inspiration and activation!

Solution

First and foremost we had to adapt the event format for a truly global, virtual audience. We had attendees spanning all of the major time zones from Asia to Europe to North America. We devised a format that allowed for regional sub group meetings, but also brought the attendees together for key group sessions.

Our creative team developed a theme and identity; the ‘red thread’ that anchored all communication. It provided direction and purpose, determined the tone of the meeting and our pre-event communications campaign focussed on generating a buzz amongst the attendees.

We seamlessly produced the live event on our clients preferred video conferencing platform, but the technical delivery, whilst incredibly important to get right, wasn’t the key factor here. This was all about designing and delivering an inspirational programme which left the attendees feeling proud, focussed and fully equipped with the knowledge and tools to ‘win’ in the next quarter.
