Communications Customer Event at the McLaren Thought Leadership Centre, UK

The challenge

How do you wow a client’s 250 C-level customers including a number of CIOs in the audience? Our client was looking to attract C-level customers to attend their annual global event, this year around the topic of innovation.

The solution

Thanks to our client’s partnership with McLaren Technology Group, Aspect were able to use the spectacular McLaren Thought Leadership Centre as our venue. We put together an opening animated video that was played on McLaren’s 360 degree screen which we sync’d to the auditorium’s LED lighting on the seating banks and in the ceiling. The overall effect was magical with audible gasps from the audience. The audience were able to hear from five senior executives across several companies about how to ‘innovate for the enterprise’. The audience was also able to give the panel their thoughts using the interactive app installed in the auditorium that we re-skinned specifically for the event.
The customers were kept engaged after their talks with exclusive tours of the McLaren Technology Centre and had the time to network in a drinks reception, surrounded by some past and present McLaren F1 race cars!
If that wasn’t enough, we also had two events occurring simultaneously so that the client could maximise the number of customers they could target at the event! One was targeted at their European customer base and the other was a Japanese language stream, aimed at their Japanese multinational customers.

The outcome

The event had the best attendance rate and lowest drop-out rate yet! Our client asked us ‘how are we going to improve on this next year?!’ and the comments from our delegate feedback questionnaires were overwhelmingly positive with comments such as ‘everything about the day was outstanding’, ‘thanks for the opportunity, I felt privileged to be there’ and ‘probably the best vendor event I’ve been to’. A very high-tech event executed flawlessly.
